Easter Weekend

School finished for the week on Thursday at 2.45pm. We had five days off and returned to school on Wednesday morning. 

The Easter Bunny

 did an Easter hunt at my house.

Each note had a clue, which told us where to find an Easter egg.

With every clue there was an egg with it.

The hunt finished in my toy room.

The last note said "HAPPY EASTER".
Easter Bunny hid the eggs very well in the night.
I enjoyed it and with Mum's help, together we found them all, one by one.  The Easter hunt was fun.  Next Easter I want a hunt again. I had some o my eggs after Easter.
After the Easter hunt the weekend continued and I rang Autumn

but she was busy as she had an Easter hunt too, so we couldn't get together at all because she was busy busy busy Easter egg hunting for the Easter Bunny's eggs. I got the wrong phone number on the second day that I rang her so I went to Melissa's house. I got upset because Sophie would not share her tractor, I felt some tears coming so I went home upset and cried and cried and cried. The dogs were barking when I got Home. I drank some coke and then The Chase was on.  
The day after that, everything was back to normal.  I saw Melissa at my house again.  She was upset with me the way I behaved in her house, but I said to her very sadly and angrily that I just wanted to be alone.  "Now go away I never want to see you again!" I said.  Melissa was upset. Then I played my chase game and that made me a lot better. The chaser was The Beast.   

Cooking at Tech

On Wednesdays it is tech day and I cook food and sometimes we bring the food back to school.

This picture is me eating rice. I loved it, even though I didn’t finish it, because of the taste.

When you cook you need to wear an apron.  After we’ve eaten, we tidy up and do the dishes.

At tech I have learnt that cooking can get a bit messy so you wear an apron.  When you cook food on the stove you need to make sure that you don’t burn yourself because the stove is HOT!

Not everything is cooked on a stove, sometimes it’s cooked in the oven and the microwave.  

Sometimes we measure ingredients, because some ingredients are very heavy.

We always wash our hands before we cook and after we cook.

I enjoy cooking very much, but sometimes it’s hard to stand up for a long time.

Family fiesta

Grey Main School had a family fiesta on Friday night and I was given a white balloon that  mum tied to my new well chair.
Mum and i saw drawings of mums and dads done by the kids.         
I got 2 sausages with bread and tomato sauce. 
In  the hall we bought chocolate fudge and it was delicious.
We saw Jen and we talked and talked.

Spooky Night

It was a dark and spooky night and I was taking a nightly stroll.   I saw a sign on a post near the spooky house and it said ‘BEWARE’.  I thought to myself ‘Should I go in or should I not?’  But I decided to myself ‘What kind of danger did that sign mean?’

I heard a sound in the bushes.  It was a MONSTER!!  I ran into the slimy, disgusting house.  I was feeling frightened, so I locked the door, so he couldn’t get in, but yes he could because the window was open.

I jumped and ran and hid in the bucket by the fire.   

Then I heard a knock, knock, knock.  It was the witch knocking on the door.  “O Oh, I’m in trouble now,” I thought.    The witch opened the door and the door went SQUEEEEEK.  It was a blue door. I felt very very scared I almost cried.  

Then the witch said “Who’s in my house? When I catch them I will put them in my dinner.”

I heard what she said.  “I better save myself” I thought.  

I climbed out of my bucket and ran and ran.  And the monster picked me up and showed me to the witch.  The witch said “Ah huh, a boy.  A dinner indeed.” She ran and ran to the stove and used her magic to turn the stove on.   I shook with fear.  I said “Don’t do this Mrs Witch,” but she said.  “Ha ha ha ha, you can’t stop me, this is a magic house.  It only does what I want it to do,”

So I thought of a clever plan.  Lucky there was some old monster clothes on the table in the corner near the fire.  

Just then, she dropped her magic wand.  She jumped and I used the magic wand to put the clothes on.  

The witch saw me and she thought I was the monster.  “Please can you do my gardening overnight and I want it all done by morning.”

“Ok”I said  But instead of doing the gardening, this was my moment to get away. I used the magic wand to do a flying spell and I flew home. I felt relaxed. And I said “Phew, no more trouble”

I learnt a personal lesson,  never go towards danger, because you never know what danger you might fall into..

Why do giraffes have long necks?

Giraffes have long necks because they can reach the tippy tops of the trees to eat the leaves.

He can see danger coming by his long neck. Being so tall helps him to save himself from being killed because he can see humans, lions and crocodiles coming.

One giraffe fights with the other giraffe with its neck.  Its called necking. They bump their heads and necks together.

They also kick and then run 30 miles per hour.  

When a baby giraffe is born he’s a man’s size.   A giraffe’s neck can be more than 7ft long.     

Curious Cove Camp

CURIOUS COVE CAMP
Monday
We went to school with all our gear for camp  and put it on the trailer  ready for camp. It took  a long time to get to camp. 

We stopped  for morning tea and there were lots of sand-flies and bees, they were so thick I had no choice but to go back to the van to eat my morning tea.  They frightened me.

Once we arrived at the boat  we went on board  and it was very bouncy and fun.
When we got of the boat at Curious Cove  we walked to the building  and took our shoes and socks off before going inside ( we were not allowed shoes and socks on in the building )

Yay, We're at camp!

We went and had a look at our rooms they all had letters on the doors, my first room had the letter  B on the door then later I moved to room A.

It would be nice to stay with Mum or the night.

Poor Ben

Day 2  Tuesday  
Next morning we all got up and had breakfast after breakfast we did  activities when we went to go kayaking I had 2 seizures  1 was before kayaking and the other just as we started kayaking. Once I was feeling okay it was about tea time  so the kayaks were put away and we were called inside for tea. I  had a yummy tea of  meat patties, potatoes and veges  and pudding of ice cream  in a cone and after pudding it was time for bed.

Day 3  Wednesday
I was happy playing Sponge Bob with Belinda and Belinda had a headache. I thought she was home sick but she said that she was not home sick, she just had a headache and was tired. We saw black pigs oinking out in their paddock and there were so many that there was white pigs as well.  The black pigs felt like a hair brush to my hand and the pig said  Oink  Oink". 

 

I also went on my I Pad and played the chase game.
 I had delicious food that I had not had before, because each night they cooked something special for their guests. It was carrot and potatoes and peas all together in a plate without salad and mince.
We played games before going to bed, it was torch tag, it was fun and exciting.

Day 4 Thursday
I had weet -bix and cocoa pops for breakfast because I was hungry. After breakfast I got dressed and mum and Belinda helped me get my shirt, pants and socks on and the man of the motel told us some funny stories but as we were getting ready to leave to do some duties around the kitchen Mr B had to yell from outside to tell everyone about the behavior, he was very cross. He said "You children better behave, I am disgusted, you know better than that to behave, now go in there and say sorry to him." After we had said "sorry'"  to the man we  followed  his instructions  and did as the grownups asked.

I went fishing  and I caught the most fish because I was the best fisherman. I caught 4 fish  I put 2 fish back in the water, 1 I took home to Cobden  but it died and the 4th one became a seagull's lunch.
Then it was back to the Lodge  and it was time for tea.   Our tea was potatoes , carrots, peas and sausage meat and pudding we had an icecream in a cone  and I got one for mum as well.
Next we had to do dishes before having a milo and going to bed.


Day 5 Friday
This was the last day on camp. I wanted this day to be a very special day. We went into the games room and played a ball game and played connect four. We were heading home.
