This book is starting to make me think about the fence. Why can't they just break the fence in 2 parts? Shmuel is lonely, Bruno is lonely and let them be together and play. I'm starting to think about the soldiers that they have built the fence so that no one will go on the other side, I don't think that's very fair.

Chapter 16 of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
This book is starting to make me think about the fence. Why can't they just break the fence in 2 parts? Shmuel is lonely, Bruno is lonely and let them be together and play.
