I felt so happy and I wanted to surprise Belinda.
It was easy enough.
Today I opened my schoolbag by myself or the first time.
We got a shoelace and we put some colourful beads onto the shoelace and tied the end in a knot.
Bag tiggy tags will help me to open my bag and close it by myself.
On Friday we decided to make bag tiggy tags to help me get ready for High School.

Clock Making (Rhymes)

IMG_4169.JPG
Clock Making
Clock making was very fun.
First I had to choose what shape for the clock.
Second I had to cut a circle out on a machine.
Third I needed to drill a hole in the middle for the hands to go.
Fourth we had go and find the numbers and then stick them on with sticky shiny glue and push them down.
Fifth we coated the clock with a see through paint that made it shine.
Sixth we had to get some hands and the battery part for the clock and hunt for a battery to make it tick tock.

Puddle Lake

On Wednesday we got some gumboots from Graeme's Shed and put them on, as well as an orange jacket and got my cane and went for a puddle walk.  We went out the front of the school and it was raining.  It was hard to see in the jacket because it was around my head. We took a short cut where there was some rails and we had to walk through them.  It wasn’t very easy to get through but I made it.  On our walk we found a big puddle as big as a lake.  I stepped in the puddle and I was bending down with my hands and splashing to get Belinda all wet.  The best part was the puddle lake, it was very huge and made a sploshy, squishy sound. I learnt when there’s something in the way that stuck means stop and drop also means stop too with my cane.  Belinda learnt that we need a spare pair of socks.

Chapter 16 of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

This book is starting to make me think about the fence.  Why can't they just break the fence in 2 parts? Shmuel is lonely, Bruno is lonely and let them be together and play.  I'm starting to think about the soldiers that they have built the fence so that no one will go on the other side, I don't think that's very fair.

The boy in the striped Pyjamas bookmark.

I made a bookmark of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.  I chose the soldier picture because there were soldiers in the story.  The swing because Bruno fell off the swing.  The wire fence to keep the people in and the striped pyjamas picture because some of the men were wearing them.

The Spooky Forest

I wrote a narrative writing.
I learned how not to tell the reader exactly what happened but describe about the spooky forest.   How it felt, what I saw, what I was thinking, what I heard.

I am walking through the dark spooky forest. The trees are dark green and very scary.  It’s night time and I hear something.   I hear an owl tahooting. The branches of the trees are scraping scratching.  The wind is shooshing around the treetops.  Suddenly I hear footsteps  and the footsteps are coming my way.

I gasp.  I feel like I want to hide.  My heart is pumping very fast. I feel frightened of something.  I see a tree that’s not shaking and I decide to climb it as fast as a cheetah.  I hold on to the tree very tightly.  Im at the top and I’m spying to see what’s down there.

I feel terrified.  Then I see a Baxon and I hide amongst all the leaves.  I hope that he doesn’t see me.  But I can see him.  I see a whole lot of blue eyes. He has 8, and a long yellow tail that dragged behind him. I am now stuck in the tree as quiet as a mouse.

I could climb down but he will see me and cook me, I could move a little bit, but he would see me, I could make a noise but then he would hear me.  The safe thing to do is ring somebody for help. I quietly get my phone out.  I push the phone buttons 9 1 7 6. I hear the Baxon catcher on the phone.  I whisper “Please get rid of the Baxon, I am in the dark forest, in a tree please help me.”
“Ill bring a sharp red cage to trap this scary Baxon” said the Baxon catcher.

I wait in this tree until the Baxon catcher arrives.  The Baxon is looking around for a toy to play with.
The Baxon catcher arrives in a green truck.  I see a sharp red cage.  The Baxon comes towards the green truck he sees the Baxon catcher and the Baxon thinks that the red sharp cage is his toy.  He tries to play with it but CRACK the red sharp cage falls on top of him and traps him inside.
The Baxon catcher sneaks up and carries it to his green truck.

I am safe.  I climb down at last.  I feel happy.  I find my way out of the forest by a sign.  I’m happy to be safe from the Baxon.Maybe next time I won’t walk into a dark spooky forest, lucky to have my phone in my pocket.

The whitebait life cycle with my buddy in room 8

We went to room 8 to work on the whitebait cycle.  I showed Summer how to save the pictures on google on my I Pad.  We had to find pictures that we needed and work out the facts.  We had some eggs and found out how the eggs turned into whitebait.  I liked the way that we pasted the pictures on the google slide.
